K-Laser therapy is another method used to help improve or cure problems your pet might have. It can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions including arthritis, degenerative joint disease, wound and incision site healing, extraction site healing, and some soft tissue injuries.
K-Laser is a Class IV therapeutic laser that uses specific wavelengths of light to reduce inflammation, reduce pain and promote healing. This form of therapy has been used in human medicine in Europe since the 1970s and was cleared by the FDA in 2005.
After your pet’s examination, the veterinarian may recommend this treatment. The K-Laser treatment is soothing and painless. You will keep your pet company while our technician administers the treatment. Treatment length varies from 3 to 10 minutes per site, so the length of the visit depends on your pet’s needs.
There are some medical conditions that would prohibit the use of K-Laser therapy on a pet. Our doctors will take your pet’s current and past medical history into account before starting any K-Laser treatments.
To determine if your pet’s condition(s) may be responsive to this treatment modality, please set up an exam with one of our qualified veterinarians.
